About me...

My name is Dr Mayur R Joshi. I am a UK trained Consultant Pharmaceutical Physician on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register (equivalent of board certification - see below for more info) with close to two decades of experience in hospital medicine and industry positions. I have worked in very small companies (less than 100 people) to "big pharma" (with over 100,000 employees). I have worked on and launched multiple product types from consumer healthcare products and medical devices to gene therapies, digital therapeutics and biologics. 

I have led multidisciplinary groups at country, regional and global levels, and have built multiple high performing, industry-leading Medical Affairs teams. In that time I have helped many individuals break into the industry and develop into leaders across different functions. 

I have developed my own proprietary framework /  programme which allowed me to learn, develop, progress and accelerate in my career. I am passionate about having impact. I usually look at this in "spheres of impact" on the business I work in, the people I work with and the patients that I serve.

This is a slightly unusual specialisation and one that is oly offered in the UK training environment where I gained my CCT. I have dedicated a lot of time to gain this specialist qualification but, given it is largely only offered in the UK, I wanted to explain more about it.
